Freelance Translators

Are you a qualified translator or interpreter looking for a new challenge?

Then you have come to the right place!

At Interlingua, we are constantly looking to expand our translator and interpreter team with talented linguists and language experts.

To apply for this interesting and demanding job, you should fulfil the following requirements:

• a university degree (or equivalent) in either translation or interpreting studies
• or a degree in some other field and at least three years of relevant professional experience in translation/interpretation
• or five years of documented professional experience in the field

All translators working with Interlingua translate only into their native language.

Professional qualifications

Depending on which kind of texts you wish to translate, a comprehensive knowledge of the topic is a prerequisite gained. Translators with completed studies/work experience in their respective areas are ideal candidates.

It is extremely important to us that our translators/interpreters are focused, conscientious and precise as well as punctual and highly reliable.

Computer skills are also important. We mainly work with memoQ (and, to a lesser extent, with Trados, and Across). If you have no experience in dealing with memoQ, we can assist you through the learning process.
