This document explains how we process your personal data when you use the services of Interlingua and visit our website at www.interlingua.at.
Our goal is to give you an overview over the rights granted to you and the relevant points of the applicable data protection regulations.

2) Quotations and orders
Only the personal data necessary for the mutual and correct fulfilment of contracts is collected
when processing quotations and orders. We will only collect and process these data if you have provided them voluntarily and with your knowledge. This procedure is based on Art. 6 (1) (a) and (b) GDPR.
The following data are processed:
First and last name, company name, VAT ID, invoicing address (street, postcode, city, country), phone number, email address, communication history, past enquiries and orders. The data and information provided by you for processing orders are stored and made available to the respective translator, interpreter or language service provider for processing. All our collaborators are equally bound by the data protection provisions.
The translators, interpreters or language service providers involved in the processing of your data may be employed in-house or in a freelance capacity. Where necessary for successful order processing, these may be located outside the EU or the EEA. However, such persons are also required to sign a non-disclosure contract obliging them to comply with the provisions of the GDPR.
During and after order fulfilment, source and target files are saved in the CAT and translation management tools used by Interlingua. The duration of storage is governed by the statutory retention periods.
3) Use of our website
a) Cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are temporarily stored on your computer via your browser when you visit our website. Some cookies are accessed by your browser the next time you visit our website, which enables us to recognise your browser.
We assign the cookies used to the following categories, depending on their purpose: (1) essential cookies, which enable us to perform basic functions and are necessary for the website to function properly, (2) marketing cookies, which are used by third parties or publishers to display personalised advertising (they do this by tracking visitors across websites), (3) external media, which concern content on video platforms and social media platforms.
Before you give your consent, only cookies that are absolutely necessary for the operation of the website are set when you visit our website. Otherwise, we process data by setting cookies only after you have given your consent.
We process your personal data with the help of cookies to protect our legitimate interests in accordance with Art 6 (1) (f) GDPR (improvement of the website and online service) or, if your consent is required for this and we therefore request your consent, on the basis of Art 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
If the processing of cookie data is based on your consent, you can revoke your consent at any time by using the corresponding opt-out options in the Individual Cookie Settings and deactivating the respective service. Revocation shall not affect the lawfulness of the data processing that takes place until the moment of revocation.

b) Contact form
On our website, we use a contact form for enquiries. In this form, you can enter various details about yourself for use when we process your enquiry. The following details are processed for this: your first and last name, phone number, company name, address (street, postcode, location, country), email address, as well as your message and files provided. Personal data which you have knowingly and freely made available will be processed in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purpose of processing your enquiry as soon as possible. The provision of your personal data is necessary for this.
c) Google Analytics
If you have consented to the use of cookies, our website uses the “Google Analytics” service, which is offered by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”) for the purpose of analysing website use by users.

Google uses cookies, whereby information about your use of the website is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. We use IP anonymisation, which means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to website and internet use. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data in order to establish a personal reference.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your anonymised IP address) by Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link – https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
For reasons of statistical evaluation, we also use Google Analytics to analyse data from ads. However, we would like to point out that changing settings mentioned above may limit the functionality of our website.
c) Google Maps
This site uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this website has no influence over the transfer of these data. Google Maps is used in the interests of making our location easy to find. This constitutes a justified interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
d) Use of Google Ads and Analytics
We use Google Ads to display ads for our services on the Google advertising network. Google Ads is a service of Google Ireland Limited, incorporated and operated under Irish law (registration number: 368047), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”).

It allows us to target users who are likely to be interested in our products and services. The use of Google Ads, i.e. clicking on the ads, is governed exclusively by Google’s privacy policy, which can be viewed at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We expressly point out that we have neither influence over nor knowledge of the user data that Google and Google Ads store, process or transmit to other countries outside the EU. Furthermore, Google Ads uses cookies which it makes available to the advertisers, in this case Interlingua Language Services – ILS GmbH. We evaluate these for statistical purposes and to optimise our online information services. With the help of the Google Support pages at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB#infodelete, users can manage or delete any existing information about themselves.
f) Social media plugins
Our website uses plugins of the social networks Facebook and LinkedIn. Within the scope of these services, the transmission of data to the USA takes place or cannot be excluded (see also points 4 and 5).
When you retrieve a page on our website that contains such plugins, these will initially be deactivated. The plugins will not be activated until you click on the button provided. By doing so, you establish a direct connection to the respective social network and thereby consent to the transmission of data to that network. If you are logged in to the respective social network, it can assign the visit to our website directly to your respective account. If the plugin is activated, your personal data will be transferred from your browser to the respective plugin provider and stored there. For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the respective social network, as well as related rights and settings for the protection of your privacy, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective social network.
If you do not want the respective social network to collect data about you via our website, you must log out of the respective social media account before visiting our website.
e) Newsletter
If we have received your contact details in connection with the sale of a service, we will also process these details so that we can send you (advertising) information about similar services by email or in a newsletter on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). You can object to this processing of your data for the purpose of direct advertising at any time, e.g. by following the unsubscribe link directly in the newsletter or by sending an email to office@interlingua.at. Revocation shall not affect the lawfulness of the data processing that has been carried out on the basis of consent prior to revocation.
Sendinblue is used as our newsletter software. Your details will be sent to Sendinblue GmbH. Sendinblue is prohibited from selling your details or using them for purposes other than sending newsletters. Sendinblue is a German, certified provider, which was selected pursuant to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Federal Data Protection Act.

h) Use of Typeform / surveys
To conduct surveys, on our website or linked in newsletter emails, we use the tool Typeform, which enables us to create interactive and user-friendly surveys.

The customer survey on our website is accessible anonymously at all times. No personal data is collected. The information collected is used to continuously improve our products and services and to fulfil the ISO 9001 standard for quality management.
- Newsletter:
We occasionally conduct surveys as part of our newsletter (see point g). These surveys may collect personal data such as name, e-mail address or other relevant information. The data collected is also used to improve products and services and to comply with the ISO 9001 standard for quality management. In addition, the data may be used for personalised marketing to provide you with relevant information and offers.

By participating in our surveys, you consent to the processing of your data by Typeform in accordance with their privacy policy. We have neither influence over nor knowledge of the user data Typeform stores, processes or transmits to other countries outside the EU.
i) Scope/links
The first part of this privacy policy applies solely to the website of Interlingua Language Services – ILS GmbH. We expressly point out that we have no influence over the design and content of websites that are linked to our website. We cannot control how the providers of the linked websites handle your information, so our privacy policy and scope of responsibility do not extend to their website.
4) Data protection information for users of our LinkedIn presence
For our LinkedIn fan page (https://www.linkedin.com/company/219841), we use the technological platform and services of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter “LinkedIn”).

The purpose of data processing on our fan page is to provide information about our services, combined with the possibility for LinkedIn users to interact with us directly. The justification for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our particular legitimate interest is our business interest in sharing information with our users and being able to communicate with them.
We expressly point out that LinkedIn’s privacy policy applies exclusively to the use of LinkedIn and its functions. We have neither influence over nor knowledge of the user data LinkedIn stores, processes or transmits to other countries outside the EU.
If there is a visit to our LinkedIn fan page, LinkedIn collects the IP address, among other things. Cookies are also set on LinkedIn. LinkedIn provides site operators with these “Insights data”. We use “Insights data” provided by LinkedIn to evaluate the behaviour of our target group or users in the context of their interaction with our site.
For the processing of Insights data, the contractual conditions under https://legal.linkedin.com/pages-joint-controller-addendum stipulate that the site operators and LinkedIn are jointly responsible parties.

5) Data protection information for users of our Facebook presence
For our Facebook fan page (https://www.facebook.com/InterlinguaWien), we use the technological platform and services of Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter “Facebook”).

When our Facebook fan page is visited, Facebook collects the IP address, among other things. Cookies are also set on Facebook. Facebook provides site operators with these “Insights data”. We use the “Insights data” provided by Facebook to evaluate the behaviour of our target group or users in the context of their interaction with our page.

6) Data protection information for users of our YouTube channel
We use a YouTube channel provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). You are personally responsible for using our YouTube Channel and its functions.

By using YouTube, your personal data will be processed by Google or its affiliates and may also be transferred to other countries outside the EU.
As the operator of YouTube, Google processes the data you have entered voluntarily, such as name, user name, email address, telephone number, as well as content that you create, upload or receive from others when using the services, e.g. saved photos and videos or comments on YouTube videos.
If you have a YouTube account, Google may also use cookies and similar technologies to record your visits to these websites and associate them with your profile. YouTube also receives data from you if you do not have a YouTube account but view content there or use YouTube’s services. This may include your IP address, operating system, browser type, information on previously viewed pages, location, mobile provider, the terminal device used, the search terms you used and cookie information.
You can restrict the processing of your data in the general settings of your Google account. In addition, Google also offers specific privacy settings on YouTube. 7) Rights of the data subject
You are entitled to various rights concerning the processing of data. These rights are specified
in Art. 15 et seq. and 77 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

• right to appeal
